Discover Ohio’s natural beauty at Atwood Lake!

A modest drive from Cleveland or Columbus, Atwood Lake is a haven for families and nature enthusiasts alike. Straddling Tuscarawas and Carroll counties, Atwood Lake covers over 4,000 acres of pure outdoor enjoyment. Atwood Lake offers a wide array of activities from camping, hiking, swimming, fishing, and boating on 7 miles of true lake beauty.

Established in 1963, Atwood Lake Boats is a family-owned business that is home to the largest pontoon dealership in Ohio!  Run by Brian and Chris Valot (who brought their talents to Atwood Lake after 30 years of experience in the marine industry) and their son Michael and daughter-in-law Holly, the Atwood Lake Boat’s team takes pride in showing Atwood Lake as not only a destination but a lifestyle.  They strive to make every boat day a family vacation that never ends!

Open year-round; you do not want to miss the opportunity to take in Ohio’s natural beauty while discovering Atwood Lake.

Boasting 28 miles of beautiful shoreline, Atwood Lake offers an equal amount of on-the-water fun and relaxation.

With two marinas and over 700 docks, there is room for everyone to get out on the water.  Ohio Department of Natural Resources regularly stocks the lake with northern pike, channel catfish, bullheads, largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, saugeye, and yellow perch.  While Atwood is a boater’s lake, the 25HP limit makes it perfect for cruising while staying calm enough to ensure the fish are still biting for the anglers among us.  Don’t have a boat, no problem! Boat rentals are available at both the West and East Marinas.  Offering a wide selection from pontoons, sport & fishing boats, kayaks & paddleboards.

Visitors are also encouraged to enjoy the lake views while dining at one of the park’s two waterfront restaurants.  The Lighthouse Bistro is a fan favorite for on-the-water dining located at the Atwood Lake Marina West.  The restaurant is open for the season beginning March 12th and offers fresh seafood, tasty sandwiches, and delicious salads that all can be enjoyed right on the water.

Atwood Lake Park offers over seven miles of hiking trails (differing in difficulty and length), making it easy to get lost in the excitement of discovering something new every time you lace up your boots.  Guests are encouraged to visit the park’s activity and nature centers for a variety of fun-filled activities.  For those wanting to extend their stay while getting back to nature, Atwood Lake Park offers over 500 campsites.  The campsites span the park, providing enough space and a view for everyone.  For those who prefer to relax with a few more creature comforts, cabin rentals are available that sleep up to six.
